The unconscious shallowing or complete cessation of breathing to minimize the audible presence of the subject's biological existence.
Occurs most frequently in two-person elevator scenarios. Subject releases a long, controlled exhale only once the doors begin to open.
The Door Close Mash
The rapid, rhythmic pressing of the 'Close Door' button upon realizing another subject is approaching the elevator lobby.
Subject's heart rate increases by 15-20%. Finger remains on the button until the mechanical seal is confirmed.
